The U.S. federal government, through its Children's Environmental Health Task Force, has developed a broad action plan to minimize the occurrence and consequences of children's lead exposures. The plan's coverage of sources of exposures to lead, identifying and treating lead-exposed children (especially in hard hit communities), outreach programs, and research programs, will be covered, as will the process of the plan's development.
