Description
In response to partners' request, CDC's NCEH Emergency Management Section initiated a review of CDC's Environmental Health Tool for Disaster Shelters. We collaborated with national partner organizations, federal agencies, state/territorial leads, and local partners to identify improvements which resulted in greater clarity and flow. We will cover changes to each domain and related variables, including pre-scripted guidance of the shelter areas, and the new version of Epi-Info available for download with the form. Despite the increased number of disasters in recent years, the CDC Environmental Health Tool for Disaster Shelters remains a well-regarded tool as a resources to assist states and territories during large emergencies requiring sheltering. Results of the revised tool will be shared with the audience.
