Description

An overview of environmental health preparedness trainings that are available through FEMA's Center for Domestic Preparedness will be presented. Updates will be provided for the Environmental Health Training in Emergency Response Operations Level Course (EHTER OPS) and the EHTER Expeditionary Modules.  In addition, the framework of a new course, Disaster Related Exposure Assessment and Monitoring (DREAM) will be given. The lifeline sectors of water, food, and shelter and responder safety and health will be covered in the curriculum with hands-on activities. The training is experiential-based and learner-centered and requires teams to respond to a variety of incidents based on real world scenarios

 

The FEMA training is available to State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial emergency responders and receivers at no cost.  Will explain the process how individuals apply for training.  Training is available in a variety of modalities and can accommodate immediate training needs if requested.
