Description

Radon gas exposure is a major public health issue that the public are not aware until they are impacted in a negative way. Radon gas is a carcinogen and the highest cause of lung cancer among people that never smoked in the United States. How well does an Environmental health specialist understand radon gas exposure and its health impacts to disseminate this information in their communities? This is an interactive session where participants will learn more about radon gas exposure and compare their knowledge of radon with other public health workers that participated in a radon study that included nurses, health educators, health officers and registered environmental health specialists.
