Description

Extreme weather events are a threat to the health of the American people. The frequency, severity, duration, and location of weather and climate phenomena such as heavy rains, rising temperatures, and droughts, are changing. CDC's Building Resilience Against Climate Effects (BRACE) framework is a five-step process for public health practitioners to develop strategies and programs to help communities prepare for the health effects of climate change. This presentation will describe new BRACE resources, data, and tools CDC Climate and Health Program has developed to help states, cities, Tribes, and Territories prepare for climate change.
