Description

The Integrated Food Safety Centers of Excellence (CoEs) have collaborated with NEHA and others to develop a target audience framework and core competencies for environmental health professionals who investigate foodborne illness outbreaks. The core competencies were developed with an advisory council, reviewed by subject matter experts, and validated by practitioners. The primary intended uses for the core competencies are to standardize training curriculum development, identify training gaps, and guide practitioners to the most appropriate trainings.
