Foodborne illnesses are a major public health concern in the southern US especially in Mississippi. Several factors will impact rates for foodborne illness including, climatic conditions and severe weather events, socioeconomic status and geographical location. Using statistical and predictive modelling will help to give a better understanding and control practices for foodborne related outbreaks.
