James Hodina is the Manager of the Environmental Public Health Division for Linn County Public Health. In this role, Jim oversees the duties of three branches in Environmental Public Health: Air & Water Quality Environmental Health, and Healthy Homes. He is the Past-President of the Iowa Environmental Health Association, Past-President of the Iowa Air & Waste Management Association, and has served on the Board of Directors for the National Association of Clean Air Agencies. Jim has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Iowa State University and an M.S. in Environmental Management from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He is a certified Qualified Environmental Professional (QEP) by the Institute of Professional Environmental Practice. Jim has 29 years of environmental experience in industry, consulting, and government. Jim was born and raised in Cedar Rapids where he currently resides. He has a wife, Shawn, and two adult children, Tyler and Regan. Jim currently serves on the Board of Education for the College Community School District in Cedar Rapids.
