Heather had a varied occupational background involving art history and language teaching, before graduating from Lane Community College with an Associate’s Degree in Nursing in 2010 and going directly into Community Health. She worked at Planned Parenthood for two years before joining the Lane County Public Health Communicable Disease department in 2012. She completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Oregon Health & Science University via the online RN-BS Completion Program in 2013 and was a recipient of the Golden Lamp Award. She has enjoyed the ongoing learning and challenges of being a CD Nurse for the last six years.
