Katrina Pollard is a Health Communication Specialist in the Division of Environmental Health Science and Practice at CDC, Radiation Studies Section. She graduated from Talladega College with a BA in English and a minor in Journalism. She has been with CDC for over 20 years where her focus has been in materials development, audience research and message development, media relations, and health literacy for various topics including chronic diseases, HIV/AIDS, TB and environmental health. Before coming to CDC, she worked as an Advertising and Marketing Manager which involved oversight for national advertising and public relations campaigns.
