Maggie Byrne is a Public Health Advisor with the Water, Food, and Environmental Health Services Branch, part of the National Center for Environmental Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Maggie develops messaging, communication strategies, and a range of communication products and specializes in helping scientists craft and clearly convey their messages. She has been at NCEH since 2007 and at CDC since 2002. Maggie’s writing has been published in peer-reviewed journals and as web content, speeches, reports to Congress, and Congressional testimony. She has a Certificate of Public Health from Georgia State University and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Georgia.
