Crystal is the Environmental Toxicologist, within the Occupational and Environmental Epidemiology (OEE) Branch of the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services Division of Public Health. Since 2016, Dr. Lee Pow Jackson has been working at OEE to manage the Private Well and Health Program and the CDC Safe WATCH grant activities in NC. Crystal earned her PhD in Environmental Toxicology at North Carolina State University in 2015, prior to that she earned her bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences at Carnegie Mellon University in 2010. Crystal has been involved in several research projects focused on water quality. Most recently, her dissertation research focused on the prevalence of endocrine disrupting compounds in surface waters throughout North Carolina and their association to fish health.
