Ms. Hisel currently serves as a Clinical Faculty in the Environmental Health Science Department at Eastern Kentucky University and teach a variety of courses in the program curriculum. She has been with the department for over 6 years and serve as the faculty advisor for all EHS students, co-advisor for the departmental student organization and the lead recruiter for the program. In addition, she serves on the Recruitment & Retention committee and Alumni Relations committee for the College of Health Sciences. She received her Bachelor of Social Work from Eastern Kentucky University and worked in child protective services briefly before returning to EKU to complete a Master of Public Health with an emphasis in Environmental Health. Her research interests include addiction & substance abuse and the environmental impact on our society, particularly pharmaceuticals in our water sources.
