As the City of Cambridge, MA, prepares a Climate Change Resilience and Preparedness Plan, efforts are underway to engage in non-traditional outreach strategies to broaden community participation. The Cambridge Public Health Department has initiated a pilot project to create a series of videos featuring resident narratives to extend the climate change conversation to harder to reach populations and open channels of dialogue with city officials. The project's far-reaching vision is to bring the voices and narratives of the most highly impacted residents into the forefront of city policy and planning discussions to increase social and community resilience to climate change.
