Description

To better assist state and local agencies prevention recreational water-related illness and injuries, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) led a national collaborative effort to develop a national guidance document, called the Model Aquatic Health Code (MAHC). The MAHC is a very thorough and technical document that can be somewhat daunting to navigate when trying to address a specific concern. CDC has developed Mini-MAHCs to help make the MAHC more concise and easier to use, and to tackle particular public health issues at aquatic venues.
