This session starts off with a “family feud” type of quiz show. Participants for the 2 teams are pre-selected volunteers from NEHA staff/leadership and conference attendees. Questions asked will be related to Environmental Health workforce issues , as asked of EH professionals via surveys and social media in the months leading up to the conference. Answers may be surprising, and will provide a springboard for discussion. At the conclusion of the game, a selection of male and female EH leaders will immediately launch into an interactive fishbowl session, involving the audience in discussion of the issues and perceptions identified through the “family feud” questions. The aim is to raise awareness of both women and men regarding problems for women in the workplace, and to give both women and men ideas on how to remedy these problems that are unique to women in the workplace.
